Solar Trust of America was the proud recipient of a $2.1 billion low-interest loan from the Department of Energy. The money was to be spent on the expansion of the company’s 1000 MegaWatt Blythe Solar Power Project in Riverside, California.
According to Solar Trust: “This project construction is expected to create over 1,000 direct jobs in Southern California, 7,500 indirect jobs in related industries throughout the United States, and more than 200...

McKibben is not only a fool, but he’s hardly original.

On June 29, 1993 President Clinton signed Executive Order 12852. The Order established the President’s Council on Sustainable Development. Appropriately, Gore was given authority over the Council and would aid in selecting its twenty-five ultraist members, which included:
- Co-Chairman, Jonathan Lash, President, World Resources Institute; an organization dedicated to “putting environmental issues on the international agenda.”[1]
- John Adams, Executive Director, Natural Resources Defense Council; their Mission Statement declares...
